Alfred P. Sloan Foundation

The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation makes grants year-round.  Use the links to the right to learn more about what the Foundation does and does not fund, the grant application process, letters of inquiry, guidelines for submitting grant proposals, and general resources for grantseekers.

Due to significant pressures on their time, Sloan program directors do not take unsolicited meetings with grantseekers.  If you would like to discuss Sloan's interest in a project, please send a letter of inquiry to the appropriate program director.

NOTE: The grant application procedures outlined in the links to the right do not apply to the Sloan Research Fellowships.  Researchers interested in being considered for a Sloan Research Fellowship should visit the Sloan Research Fellowship section.
