International Science Engagement

The International Science Engagement program is an early stage program currently focused on South Asia that seeks to bring scientists and engineers in conflict regions together to collaborate on subjects and projects of mutual interest.

A pilot grant was made to the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy/National University of Singapore for a preliminary meeting on rice science involving scientists from eight countries including: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, the Philippines, and China. Other grants have supported the Institute for International Education’s Scholar Rescue Fund which works to relocate endangered scientists, engineers and mathematicians to research institutes abroad.
