Grant Areas

The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation program on Workplace, Work Force and Working Families has evolved over the past decade and now consists of four grant areas guiding its efforts:

  1. Basic Research on Working Families and Everyday Life
  2. Direct outreach to specific industries, particularly higher education, to increase Industry-Specific Workplace Flexibility
  3. A national campaign, The Sloan National Initiative on Workplace Flexibility, intended to make workplace flexibility a compelling national issue and the standard for the American workplace, and
  4. Basic reasearch, direct outreach and national change regarding Aging and Flexible Work
